How a Customer Falls In Love With a Website

1208355_what_is_loveWith Valentine’s Day around the corner, we’ve been doing a lot of thinking about hearts and flowers lately. Take it easy on us…the stores are full of those chocolate filled hearts this season.

Let’s talk for a few minutes about how a customer falls in love with a website. You may not think about this….but it’s actually something we think about all the time. We want our clients’ customers to fall in love with their websites at first site (pun intended).

There’s a lot you can do to help your customers fall in love with your site. Customers may not think about SEO - Search Engine Optimization - but they appreciate it’s efforts. In a nutshell, this means that your site is easy to find with the search engines. We don’t have to tell you that if your site can’t be found - then it will be hard for customers to fall in love with you!

Customers also appreciate images to help understand your products or services. If you have a popular beauty salon and spa - show photographs or even a video tour taking that customer through the entire place! Make your website feel as if they are entering your salon and spa for the very first time. Think like a customer for a moment and what you would want to see, where your eye might glance. Unique photos and interesting shots can be especially appealing.

Good descriptions are extremely helpful for a number of reasons. Not only will they help explain all about your products and services - but they will cut down on repetitive calls to your store or customer service asking these questions that can easily be answered at your site. The customer comes in pre-sold, knowing what they want. Your staff doesn’t have to answer the same question over and over again and can focus on doing other things that bring in more ROI. Your website is earning your money - in ways you might not have thought of - simply by keeping you more organized.

These are some of the ways a customer falls in love with a website. Now tell us - what makes you fall in love with a website? What are some of your favorite websites? We’re interested in knowing - what makes you fall in love? Chocolate hearts are optional!
